Cologne unveil new Karneval kit with faux shirt tassels

Perhaps inspired by the success Bavarian clubs have had with their special Oktoberfest kits, Cologne have now launched a…unique…new strip for their city’s annual carnival, which begins in November.

From the club’s official website:

The new Karneval kit pays homage to the Roten Funken, one of the oldest and traditional of the many Karneval groups in Cologne. Following the white Karneval kits in 2013 and 2014, the 2015 kit is red and heavily influenced by the uniform of a Roten Funken Officer. The kit can be purchased from the online shop as well as all fan shops around the city.

Sadly, they didn’t go for real shirt tassels, as that would probably violate FIFA regulations.
