DC United vs New England Revolution
5pm / ESPN2
The top two teams in the Eastern Conference go head to head as DC United tries to extend its four-point lead at the top of the table. With DC coming off two successive defeats, it could be an opportune time for Charlie Davies (six goals) and co. to pounce and knock the leader down a few pegs.
Brazil vs Venezuela
5:20pm / BeIn
Brazil takes on Venezuela in the tightest match of the Copa America yet. After two rounds, every team in Group C is level on three points with a goal difference of zero, so it all comes down to this. Deprived of the suspended Neymar’s services, Brazil coach Carlos Dunga will have a tense 90 minutes ahead of him with a potential early exit on the cards.
Canada vs Switzerland
7:30pm / FS1
Host Canada takes on Switzerland in the Round of 16 of the Women’s World Cup. Although the Canadians only scored two goals, they topped their group, escaping one point ahead of China. Against Switzerland, one of the four third-placed teams that advanced, Canada will be expected to assert its status as a favorite and produce better performances than it has thus far.
Monday, June 22
United States vs Colombia
8pm / FS1
In their Round of 16 match, the USWNT takes on Colombia, who already pulled off one of the tournament’s biggest upsets, a 2–0 defeat of France in Moncton. The USWNT have been slow starters in the competition and will have to flip the switch very quickly and focus on putting in more convincing performances now that the tournament’s business end is upon them.
