“Go get it.”
League Two side Cambridge United held Manchester United to a scoreless draw at their Abbey Stadium to force a dream FA Cup replay at Old Trafford. While Cambridge’s performance against their much wealthier opponent was a valiant one, Man United’s left a lot to be desired. And when Angel Di Maria blasted a shot completely out of the 4,376-seat Abbey Stadium, it pretty much summed up the evening for the visiting side.
And Cambridge won’t even be worried about the cost of that lost ball since the replay at Old Trafford will be equivalent to a winning lottery ticket for them.
Why Cambridge want replay: MUFC have avg match income of £3.86m. Cambridge would get 45% (£1.7m). From ONE game. Their annual income: £1.6m.

That’s a pretty nice reward for a match in which they didn’t even have a single shot on target (to Cambridge’s credit, they did keep all their shots inside the stadium, though).
