Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher have a laugh while picking all-star charity match teams

Steven Gerrard and former teammate Jamie Carragher will captain the star-studded teams set to play each other in a charity match on March 29. And when they got together to divide up the players at their disposal, they had a few laughs at their and each others’ expense.
Carragher, who was clearly eager to work through the banter backlog he’s developed since retiring in 2013, started off by delighting in Gerrard picking current teammate Brad Jones in goal, leaving him with Pepe Reina. Gerrard then gave it back to him by calling John Terry “the best center-half I’ve played with.”
From there the jokes covered everything from Alvaro Arbeloa’s lack of playing time at Real Madrid to Jonjo Shelvely being “a bit of a lunatic.” When Carragher accused Gerrard and Xabi Alonso of being “has beens,” Gerrard shot back that “you can’t buy experience,” but Carragher delighted himself by saying, “The LA Galaxy did.”
Carragher did fret about putting Craig Bellamy against John Arne Riise, whom Bellamy once famously attacked with a golf club, but Riise doesn’t seem too worried.
Was gonna bring my whole set of golf clubs when playing against Bellamy again, but think I might just need the putter 😂😂 Top man He is
