Paraguay beat Jamaica 1–0 for a share of the lead with Argentina in Group B and they have goalkeeper Duwayne Kerr to thank. The problem for Kerr: he plays for Jamaica.

For reasons unknown, Kerr came way out of his box to head a long ball headed his way, but he headed it directly into the knee of charging Paraguay midfielder Edgar Benitez, causing it to ricochet back into the net.

That was the match’s only goal. That was it. Now Jamaica are in last place with two losses and everyone is laughing at poor Duwayne Kerr.

Maybe he can run away and start a new life as a scientist or a lawyer.
