Bamber Bridge FC were set to make the journey home after a 0–0 draw with Scarborough Athletic on Saturday when their bus broke down, stranding them more than 130 miles from home. With no transportation in sight, they made the most of the situation by flagging down a tractor and hitching a ride to the nearest pub.

The club finally got a replacement bus made it home to put an end to a long day, but at least they got some laughs, a few beers, and a good story out of it.
