Chilean Doctors watched Portugal-Chile shootout during surgery

Even medical professionals in high-stress situations of their own have their priorities

Though tournament success has become commonplace for Chile in recent years, no one in the country is going to risk missing out on witnessing more of the same—even if they’re in the midst of performing surgery on a fellow human being.

Video has emerged of doctors in Chile taking a break from performing a surgical procedure in order to watch the end of Chile’s successful shootout against Portugal in the Confederations Cup semifinals.

The video captures the moment a cheer went up in the room, before the docs seamlessly went right back to work. I would hate to think what would’ve happened to that patient dad Portugal been more successful, though.
