Switzerland’s Xherdan Shaqiri scored a brilliant overhead kick before his side lost to Poland on penalties. It invited a warranted amounted of praise, but it also inspired some jokes.

Shakira, whose partner, Gerard Pique, scored for Spain earlier in the tournament, made a quip based on the similarity between her name and Shaqiri’s. Although, she kind of blew it by misspelling his name and making it look more different to hers than it actually is.

Elsewhere, Peter Crouch, Shaqiri’s teammate at Stoke City, tried to take credit for the goal in his own way.
