Minnesota United goalkeeper Sammy Ndjock took the term “friendly” a little too far as his side hosted Bournemouth by literally throwing the ball into his net for an own goal.

It was an incredibly odd moment and Ndjock — who has three caps for Cameroon — will be thankful that it came in a match that doesn’t count for anything.

Bournemouth went on to win 4–0, but they might hope for a bit more of a test as their preseason goes on.

UPDATE: Minnesota United and Ndjock have put together a clever video that “explains” his howler. Nice to see he has a sense of humor about it.
