Sampdoria’s owner might be a crazed hobo

Earlier this year, Sampdoria were bought by a man named Massimo Ferrero. He is a film producer and he is wonderfully odd. Every time the TV cameras cut to him during a match it looks as if he’s high on PCP and has no idea where he is.

Sampdoria are currently fourth in Serie A after beating Verona 3–1 on Monday. Their success might be entirely due to their opponents’ very real fear of being stabbed by Ferrero with a prison shank at any given moment, though.
