Swedish killer says he targeted Zlatan Ibrahimovic
May 10, 2015
Notorious Swedish killer Peter Mangs claims in a new book that he targeted Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2010. Mangs was sentenced to life in prison in 2010 for two murders and eight attempted murders over a seven-year period in Zlatan’s hometown of Malmo, Sweden. The attacks were racially motivated, which is also why he wanted to kill Sweden’s national team captain.
From The Local:
The 43-year-old said he became angry after spotting the football player’s red Ferrari, describing Ibrahimovic’s illegal parking as “typically Balkan behaviour”, referring to the star striker’s Bosnian heritage.
The killer said that he went to get his gun, and when he returned to the spot, the car was gone.
He wrote: “I thought there would be a proper hullabaloo in the media if the gent in question were to be shot.”
Mangs could be making up this tale to benefit his book, but we will never know for sure. Mainly because Zlatan will respond to this revelation by personally bringing capital punishment back to Sweden after it was outlawed more than 100 years ago.
