Harry Kane was nearly decapitated just before Euro 2016 when Portugal’s Bruno Alves proved that he does still have the flexibility to kick people in the head at the age of 34 during the final tune-up friendly at Wembley.

This reduced Portugal (already playing without Cristiano Ronaldo, who is on holiday after Real Madrid’s Champions League victory) to 10 men in the 35th minute. They were able to hold England scoreless until Chris Smalling finally broke the deadlock and scored a winner in the 86th minute.

Hopefully this will serve as a lesson to Kane that if you run around with your mouth wide open all the time, you’re liable to get someone’s boot stuck in there.
