Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced that he will retire from international football when Sweden’s Euro 2016 campaign ends, which means he will not play in the Rio Olympics despite being named to Sweden’s squad for that competition.

Without international football getting in the way, Zlatan’s sole focus will become his long rumored move to Man United, where he would be directly at odds with his old nemesis, Man City manager Pep Guardiola. And Zlatan’s agent, Mino Raiola, has made it clear that clear that a final showdown with Guardiola is what Zlatan craves.

From ESPN FC:

Raiola said: “I think he wants revenge on Guardiola, although he does not live for it because you shouldn’t have two graves — one for him and one for the enemy.

“It seems destiny wants to see that meeting take place. One option is to go to the Premier League, but for as long as Sweden continue in the Euros there will be no solution.”

The chance to win an Olympic medal in the twilight of his career would be nice, but the chance at revenge would be so much nicer. Beware, Pep. Zlatan is coming.
