André-Pierre Gignac’s been a revelation since joining Tigres, and the French forward added to his growing legend with an excellent overhead kick in his side’s first-leg win over Chiapas in the Liguilla quarterfinals. [Source: Streamable]


Gignac had more for the second leg. The Frenchman’s sweet half volley lifted Tigres to a 1–0 win (3–1 on aggregate) and a place in the semifinals. [Source: Streamable]


Fabian Johnson had an impressive week, too. In midweek Champions League action, the American curled home an excellent effort to help Borussia Mönchengladbach top Sevilla. [Source: Streamable]
