Hannover’s Bundesliga match against Wolfsburg was nearly abandoned just before kickoff when the visiting Wolfsburg supporters launched a flare that somehow made it across the pitch and into the home side’s dugout.

The air assault prompted Hannover players and staff to flee the scene and thankfully no one was hurt. Though, the team doctor’s pants were slightly burnt, according to Bild.

Despite this frightening moment, the match went ahead and Wolfsburg won 4–0, proving that setting the home team’s dugout on fire is an effective mind game.
