The lights went out at Atatulrk Stadium, Besiktas’ temporary home while their new stadium is being built, during the first half of of the Turkish club’s Europa League match against Tottenham. So fans made an effort to light up the place themselves using their mobile phones.

It didn’t quite work, but the stadium lights did eventually come back to life and the match was able to continue. Until the lights went out again during the second half. The only possible explanation for all of these power issues is that the Griswold family must have moved to Turkey.

But the lights did come back on a second time and stayed on long enough for Besiktas to win 1–0.
